Tropical Smoothie Café closed its downtown location at 216 W. Fourth St. in preparation to move to a new location.
Construction was completed on the new location at 7790 North Point Blvd., in the University Plaza Shopping Center at the intersection with University Parkway. Tropical Smoothie Cafe moved into a spot that was formerly occupied by a Taco Bell.
The new location will have the advantage of offering plenty of parking for customers. It also will offer slightly more seating and will have a drive-thru window, something not possible in the downtown location.
